Glengarry District High School serves the bilingual community of Alexandria and North Glengarry, with a population of over 10,000. Glengarry District High School is the hub of the community with a proud history of producing well-rounded and successful graduates.

Over the years, Glengarry’s students have taken home some of the highest awards this province has to offer in the areas of academics, music, sports, and drama.

Academically, Glengarry offers multiple pathways for our students. We offer diverse programming that includes French Immersion, OYAP, Dual Credit, and SHSMs.

Glengarry Gaels participate in international exchange programs and each year we welcome an increasing number of international students.

Established in 1865, Glengarry District High School is proud of its tradition of excellence and its ability to accommodate all types of learners in both the English and the French languages. Programming at GDHS for both official languages is important to us in order to best serve and provide opportunities for students while they are living and working in the bilingual community of Alexandria, Eastern Ontario and beyond.
